How do I apply?
- NEW for 2026 applicants SEDA Small Grants Podcast discussing the grants program, it’s requirements and talks to some current grant holders about their experiences of applying for the grant and running their current research projects.
- Recording of How to apply for a SEDA small grant – held on 26th November 2020.
- Proposals must be submitted to office@seda.ac.uk using the downloaded SEDA Small Grants application form by the deadline of 12 noon on Monday 23rd February 2026.
- We will acknowledge receipt of all applications. If you do not receive an email acknowledgement then assume that your application has not been received and follow this up with the SEDA office.
What is the timetable?
- There will be a SEDA Grant Holders Showcase event on Friday 9th January 2026, 14:00 – 16:00.
Please register via Humanitix. This will be a forum for the 2024 Small Grant holders to present a synopsis of their project to the SEDA community in our second online SEDA Small Grants Showcase.
- There will also be a Small Grants Talk Shop on Friday 16th January 2026, 14:00 – 15:00. Please register via Humanitix. This will be an interactive opportunity for applicants to ask questions of SEDA’s Scholarship and Research Committee. If you have any particular questions, then it would be very helpful if you could email them through in advance.
- Proposals must be received by the SEDA office by 12 noon on Monday 23rd February 2026
- All applicants will be notified of the results by 30th April 2026
- Projects are expected to complete by 31st August 2027
