Penny Burden

Penny is Head of Academic Staff Development, based in the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Centre at Kingston University.  She leads a team of Senior Lecturers who deliver a wide range of professional development activities for academic and related professional services staff, including the AdvanceHE accredited CPD Framework, KAPS as well as a broad CPD programme which includes the development and delivery of Kingston’s annual Learning and Teaching Fellowship Award and our annual Festival of Learning celebrations.   Penny is also external examiner for the PGCAP at De Montfort University, an independent end point assessor for the Academic Professional Apprenticeship and a reviewer for the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme.  Penny has been an elected ex-officio member of SEDA’s Executive Committee since May 2018.  She is also co-chair of the South East Academic Development Network and a reviewer for SEDA’s journal, “Innovations in Education and Teaching International”.
