Jon Rhodes
University of Wolverhampton

Jon has over 20 years of experience working in Higher Education and is currently an Educational Developer at the University of Wolverhampton. He is an advocate for inclusive education and  specialises in academic development, specifically, technology-enhanced learning and the design of innovative learning spaces. He is also a qualified Coach, Mentor and member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (MInstLM).

His educational background was initially Arts based and following his MA he was awarded his PG Cert in Academic Practice in Higher Education (HE), his Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and Certified Membership of the Association for Learning Technology (CMALT).

He is the University of Wolverhampton’s SEDA-PDF institutional lead and course lead for two successful SEDA-PDF programmes. He regularly teaches on the University of Wolverhampton PG Cert Academic Practice award (PG CAP) and has advised on the development of numerous distance learning programmes and on-campus learning spaces/new builds. In 2017 Jon also authored the University of Wolverhampton Learning Spaces Strategy.

He has published papers on academic development, learning technology and learning space deign, and been fortunate to share his work with colleagues at numerous international conferences. He has also sat on a board of Governors for a local ECMAT Academy and has experience of acting as chair of Academic Board.
