What is the SEDA Fellowship?
Note that the existing SEDA Fellowship is now closed to
new registrations. This information is for information only.
The SEDA Fellowship is a professional qualification for staff and educational developers. It is designed to help you develop and improve your practice and recognise your achievements. It offers a process for reflecting on your current way of working, developing specialist areas of expertise and planning for your professional development needs.
By demonstrating a professional standard, the Fellowship will help you to enhance your professional profile at your institution and nationally. It will enable you to learn more about how best to do your job and gain promotion. More importantly it will provide you with a sense of personal achievement.
The Fellowship is not merely an
assertion of professional competence. To undertake it is to ‘practice what we
preach’: reflective practice is at the heart of the values of staff and
educational development. Dr Liz Beaty FSEDA
